2018-2019     Committee Member at Transmission Gallery, Glasgow

I was part of the committee at Transmission Gallery, an artist-run space in Glasgow, made up of artists and programmers:  Alberta Whittle, Adam Benmakhlouf, Katherine Liu, Myriam Mouflih and Thulani Rachia.

The programme focuses on platforming experiences of local communities of Black, Minority Ethnic and working-class backgrounds in Scotland and generating structures of support and self care.

My curatorial focus was in encouraging artistic practices that are community-led, expanding local community engagement to explore practices of collective care, creating safe and empowering conversations and spaces within institutional structures.

I am also dedicated to sustainability as cultural workers such as pushing for better payment in the arts.
